Episode 21: Rope

In this episode, we discuss Rope, Alfred Hitchcock’s 1948 psychological crime thriller, based on the play Rope’s End by Patrick Hamilton, which was in turn loosely based on the Leopold and Loeb thrill killing of 1924.  We talk about the gimmicks and technology that went into making rope, the elephant in the room that the screenwriter wanted you to see but the studio didn’t and give some historical context for the events in the film.  Megan gets to barf forth true crime factoids because in addition to movies SHE LOVES THAT STUFF.
